Duties:

Ensure sufficient qualified personnel are available for emergency services missions

Monitor operational emergency services mission activities, both training and actual

Coordinate emergency services mission requirement and activities with CAP staff agencies

Maintain records on individual CAP personnel documenting accomplishment of qualification training IAW CAPR 60-3, CAPR 60-4, and current specialty qualification status
-
Maintain records containing the status of vehicles, aircraft, radios, and other emergency equipment available for operational missions
-
Coordinate with state and local agencies for training, joint exercises, emergency response to incidents, etc.

Ensure adequate initial, upgrade, and currency training activities are conducted to maintain the qualification and proficiency of emergency services mission personnel

Ensure proper documentation and retention of records for emergency services mission activities

develop and maintain wing disaster response plans

develop disaster relief scenarios for SAR/DR exercises
-
maintain and finalize the wings response plan to a New Madrid Seismic Incident
Lt. Col. Les Lewis, DOST
Emergency Services Training Officer
Duties:
-
coordinate Emergency Services training at the wing and local level
-
ensure there are adequate trained Emergency Services resources in the wing to meet mission needs
-
coordinate one Mission Aircrew School, four Ground Team training weekends, and one Ground Team Leaders School each Fiscal Year
-
coordinate with DOV to ensure that MP's and TMP's maintain proficiency
-
assist with the development of SAREX's
-
assist with administrative processes as needed
LtCol Nelson Rue, DOSL
Emergency Services Agency Liaison
Duties:
-
assist the DOS, and DOSD with Liaising with other agencies
-
coordinate meetings with other agency representatives

coordinate aircrew training at the wing and local level

ensure there are adequate aircrew resources in the wing to meet mission needs

coordinate the Mission Aircrew School each Fiscal Year

Assistant Emergency Services Training Officer - Ground
Duties:
-
coordinate ground team training at the wing and local level
-
ensure there are adequate ground team resources in the wing to meet mission needs

conduct/supervise the ground team training events each Fiscal Year to include 4 weekends of in the field training, 1 weekend of a ground team leaders school
-
monitor ground team performance at missions, training and actual

Emergency Readiness and Response Officer
Duties:
-
develop alerting and response plans for the wing for emergency operations other than search and rescue
-
maintain resource status reports
-
coordinate Rapid Response Force
